Ahmet Korkut Öztaş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Haluk Kabak came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Kahta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haluk Kabak couldn't finish the play. Kahta's Niyazi Peşrev got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Niyazi Peşrev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Çağan Gencay's late challenge caught a Kahta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Çağan Gencay helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th minute, Çağan Gencay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abdulmelik Sabih hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Ahmet Korkut Öztaş who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Lefter Akkaya when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Çağan Gencay hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. When Kahta's Niyazi Peşrev in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Menekse's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Niyazi Peşrev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Suavi Namal was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Menekse's Suavi Namal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Menekse from getting a goal against them. Haluk Kabak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Suavi Namal was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Niyazi Peşrev capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Niyazi Peşrev really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niyazi Peşrev in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Suavi Namal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A nice corner shot did that Okanalp İçkin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Suavi Namal quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Korkut Öztaş in the 86th minute of play forced Kahta's goalkeeper Lefter Akkaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 87 minutes, Abdulmelik Sabih mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kahta and the Menekse players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Menekse booed when Kahta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdulmelik Sabih didn't get a good kick on the ball. Menekse's Suavi Namal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niyazi Peşrev in the 91st minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Menekse's goal looked a bit too open when Niyazi Peşrev came free, but Suavi Namal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kahta's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
