Ali Emir İbiş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vefa Tolay, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Mehmet Osman Olgunay kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Mehdi Uluer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karadeniz İsrafil in the 7th minute. If Nejat Alp Tuz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Muammer Mahçup recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Gölcük's Mehdi Uluer got control of the ball when Karadeniz İsrafil tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 34 minutes, Ali Numan Temizhan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gölcük and the ŞAHİNSPOR players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ali Numan Temizhan kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After having played for 37 minutes, Mehmet Edip Sezer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ŞAHİNSPOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mehmet Edip Sezer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th minute, Nejat Alp Tuz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mehdi Uluer. The goal made the score 1-0. Ali Emir İbiş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muammer Mahçup in the 44th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vefa Tolay in the 46th minute of play forced ŞAHİNSPOR's goalkeeper Ali Emir İbiş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nejat Alp Tuz to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Gölcük booed when ŞAHİNSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aşır Talayman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ali Emir İbiş was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vefa Tolay showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 68 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Nejat Alp Tuz managed to get in a good position for a shot. ŞAHİNSPOR's supporters rose to their feet, but Nejat Alp Tuz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mehdi Uluer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vefa Tolay was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 88th minute. Gölcük's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 90 minutes into the game, Kunter Uğurata was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ŞAHİNSPOR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gölcük the free kick. After 90 played minutes ŞAHİNSPOR got a freekick which was hit by Kunter Uğurata. If Vefa Tolay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
