Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) 1859 Mülkiyespor's Çelik Hicab started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rüştü Lütfi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mete Akoğul in the 6th minute. After 8 minutes, Muammer Pekel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Erzurumspor and the 1859 Mülkiyespor players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th minute, Muammer Pekel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the match, Kenan Sebati had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anıl Baran İlkay. Erzurumspor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kenan Sebati was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, Çelik Hicab notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Erzurumspor's Anıl Baran İlkay. Anıl Baran İlkay was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 27thth minute of the game Mete Akoğul who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 1859 Mülkiyespor's Rüştü Lütfi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 28th minute, Mete Akoğul fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 30th minute, Erzurumspor's Mete Akoğul ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rüştü Lütfi. Rüştü Lütfi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Çelik Hicab's late challenge caught a Erzurumspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Çelik Hicab helped the player get up and apologised. After 36 played minutes 1859 Mülkiyespor got a freekick which was hit by Çelik Hicab. The crowd rose to their feet as Mete Akoğul kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rüştü Lütfi. That made the score 2-2 in the 38 minute of play. Melih Nuralp made in the 45th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Taner Yazganalp immediately put the ball in play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mete Akoğul to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Erzurumspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Türker Onguner to maneuver through the defense. Anıl Baran İlkay came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by 1859 Mülkiyespor's Çelik Hicab. But to his dismay, Çelik Hicab quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. In the 58th match minute, Erzurumspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Muammer Pekel to maneuver through the defense. Muammer Pekel was shown his second yellow card after 61 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 62nd match minute, Erzurumspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Muammer Pekel to maneuver through the defense. When 1859 Mülkiyespor's Dursun Öztan in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Erzurumspor's goalie prevented a goal. Anıl Baran İlkay made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Dursun Öztan sent off a good shot on target. 68 minutes into the match, 1859 Mülkiyespor's goal looked a bit too open when Eray Tümer came free, but Rüştü Lütfi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Eray Tümer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eray Tümer might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rüştü Lütfi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eray Tümer ran back to his position shaking his head. Rüştü Lütfi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Çağrı Ağaverdi in the 78th minute of the match. Naci Demiroğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rüştü Lütfi having to interfere. Naci Demiroğlu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rüştü Lütfi having to make a save. In the 88th minute Eray Tümer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rüştü Lütfi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rüştü Lütfi came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Erzurumspor's Ali Çağrı Ağaverdi. But to his dismay, Ali Çağrı Ağaverdi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Eray Tümer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
