Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Rize's Halil Akdiken started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Abdulvahit Öksak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Ahmet Refik Samir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Abdulvahit Öksak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beşiktaş's supporters rose to their feet, but Abdulvahit Öksak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmet Refik Samir breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abdulvahit Öksak in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ahmet Refik Samir saved Rize from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Abdulvahit Öksak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ahmet Refik Samir was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Arda Baybars Sayfi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Ali Toktamış having to interfere. After 19 played minutes Beşiktaş got a freekick which was hit by Hasan Tahsin Metiner. In the 21st match minute, Rize was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nedim Sati to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abdulvahit Öksak in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ahmet Refik Samir saved Rize from getting behind. 33 minutes into the match, Beşiktaş's goalkeeper Ahmet Ali Toktamış had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arda Baybars Sayfi. The Beşiktaş fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Beşiktaş's Abdulvahit Öksak looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abdulvahit Öksak in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ahmet Refik Samir saved Rize from getting behind. The long shot by Alkan Bera in the 39th minute really tested Ahmet Ali Toktamış's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 41 minutes into the match, Bahadırhan Ekabir dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ahmet Ali Toktamış, 1-2. Hasan Tahsin Metiner kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Rize's Erdoğan Nurdag broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Rize booed when Beşiktaş was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hasan Tahsin Metiner didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Halil Akdiken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Beşiktaş were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abdulvahit Öksak to make the kick off. Abdulvahit Öksak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Arda Baybars Sayfi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rize fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Ahmet Ali Toktamış stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arda Baybars Sayfi's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. 63 minutes into the match, Halil Akdiken notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Beşiktaş's Ahmet Ali Toktamış. Ahmet Ali Toktamış was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 66th match minute, Beşiktaş was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hasan Tahsin Metiner to maneuver through the defense. Ahmet Ali Toktamış took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arda Baybars Sayfi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmet Ali Toktamış didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hayrettin Zeren went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. A hard shot 72 in the game by Abdulvahit Öksak from a close distance when the talented Ahmet Refik Samir managed to make a qualified save. Rize's players were relieved. In the 72nd match minute, Rize was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nedim Sati to maneuver through the defense. Ahmet Ali Toktamış took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nedim Sati, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abdulvahit Öksak in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ahmet Refik Samir, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ahmet Ali Toktamış came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Rize's Nedim Sati. But to his dismay, Nedim Sati quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Arda Baybars Sayfi took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ahmet Ali Toktamış. Ahmet Ali Toktamış dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-2. Beşiktaş's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
