The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Reha Tankut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Sabahattin Maksut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th match minute, Cobanlar SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet İlke Mertel to maneuver through the defense. The Cobanlar SK fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Cobanlar SK's Mehmet Edip Urkan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. AKÇAABAT SK's Sabahattin Maksut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehmet Edip Urkan in the 18th minute of play. Mehmet Edip Urkan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabahattin Maksut having to interfere. In the 24thth minute of the game Mehmet Edip Urkan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AKÇAABAT SK's Sabahattin Maksut was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Şahin Kutlutekin hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Sabahattin Maksut didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Cobanlar SK's Mehmet Edip Urkan shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Mehmet Edip Urkan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Sabahattin Maksut made a huge save. After some careless play in the AKÇAABAT SK defense, Mehmet Edip Urkan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sabahattin Maksut. The AKÇAABAT SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sabahattin Maksut should have stopped the shot. Sabahattin Maksut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şinasi Avcı in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mehmet Edip Urkan to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, AKÇAABAT SK's goal looked a bit too open when Mehmet Edip Urkan came free, but Sabahattin Maksut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Savaş Naşit in the 58th minute of play forced AKÇAABAT SK's goalkeeper Sabahattin Maksut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cobanlar SK's Mehmet Edip Urkan got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 62 minutes, Mehdi Cangur mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AKÇAABAT SK and the Cobanlar SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. AKÇAABAT SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reha Tankut was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şinasi Avcı in the 66th minute of play forced AKÇAABAT SK's goalkeeper Sabahattin Maksut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Şinasi Avcı ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sabahattin Maksut was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Şinasi Avcı sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 8-0 became the score in the 80th minute when Reha Tankut elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, AKÇAABAT SK's Mehdi Cangur got a free kick in the 84th minute. Reha Tankut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94thth minute of the game Mehmet Edip Urkan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AKÇAABAT SK's Sabahattin Maksut was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 96th minute, Şinasi Avcı ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sabahattin Maksut was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. Cobanlar SK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
