Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Yesilyurt's Orhan Ersavaş started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Orhan Ersavaş's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dino Palmisano was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Formy's zone, Orhan Ersavaş stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dino Palmisano came out of the goal and Orhan Ersavaş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Orhan Ersavaş kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Fevzi Yücesan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Köksal Ziver tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Erhan Kıvanç hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Orhan Ersavaş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fevzi Yücesan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 26th minute by Vahit Terzioğlu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Erhan Kıvanç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tom Lidman struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Köksal Ziver didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Formy. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tom Lidman was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, Necip Fazıl Akasoy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Erhan Kıvanç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute Orhan Ersavaş suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 63 minutes, Selim Sungurtekin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Formy and the Yesilyurt players grew even worse after the yellow card. Yesilyurt made a substitution. Tuncay Saraçoğlu replaced Orhan Ersavaş. Dino Palmisano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tuncay Saraçoğlu in the 65th minute of play. Ferdi Demircioğlu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 67th playminute. Dino Palmisano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tuncay Saraçoğlu in the 78th minute. If Ferdi Demircioğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Erhan Kıvanç came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Yesilyurt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erhan Kıvanç couldn't finish the play. The Formy manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Yesilyurt to win.
