Gercüs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kalkandere the free kick. A collision led to Gercüs getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Aydın Tükelay hit a great ball. After 27 played minutes Kalkandere got a freekick which was hit by Kılıç Ünalan. Necip Fazıl Özbilgin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oğuzhan Ayaydın, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorukhan Pekgöz in the 37th minute of play forced Gercüs's goalkeeper Halil Can Kutsan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Dorukhan Pekgöz came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Kalkandere fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorukhan Pekgöz couldn't finish the play. Behiç Eren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Necip Fazıl Özbilgin made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Dorukhan Pekgöz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Halil Can Kutsan was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
