The supporters of Soma booed when Manyas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bican Fırıncıoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ertan Rezzak, 5 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baykan Uçanok got free with Tuncer Ayıkoğlu in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fikri Ferhat in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeynel Barkan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the match, Manyas's goal looked a bit too open when Eyüp Ortunc came free, but Tuncer Ayıkoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th match minute, Soma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kıvanç Akartürk to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the game, Onur Ezgü cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Zeynel Barkan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fikri Ferhat to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Baykan Uçanok shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tuncer Ayıkoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Fikri Ferhat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 68 minutes into the match, Soma's Baykan Uçanok sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tuncer Ayıkoğlu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Manyas's Tuncer Ayıkoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eyüp Ortunc in the 80th minute of play. Baykan Uçanok fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tuncer Ayıkoğlu having to interfere. Rasim Akgöze charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rasim Akgöze the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd match minute, Manyas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rasim Akgöze to maneuver through the defense. Eyüp Ortunc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Tuncer Ayıkoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
