Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Mersin FK's Carl-Rune Bøthun started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Mersin FK's zone, Yasin Çelebi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lütfi Dursunali came out of the goal and Yasin Çelebi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lütfi Dursunali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ziya Onur Semir, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Mersin FK's Acun Sertel managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gökay Serdaroğlu in the 12 minute of the game. When Carl-Rune Bøthun came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Mersin FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carl-Rune Bøthun couldn't finish the play. Cengizhan Kutun kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Yasin Çelebi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lütfi Dursunali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lütfi Dursunali made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ziya Onur Semir in the 18th minute of play. If Carl-Rune Bøthun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ziya Onur Semir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lütfi Dursunali having to interfere. Lütfi Dursunali took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yasin Çelebi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ziya Onur Semir in the 31st minute of play forced Mersin FK's goalkeeper Lütfi Dursunali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, zonguldakkömür's goalkeeper Poyraz Torkal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Özbek Akçakaya. Mersin FK's Carl-Rune Bøthun got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yasin Çelebi scored 0-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lütfi Dursunali, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lütfi Dursunali came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by zonguldakkömür's Yasin Çelebi. But to his dismay, Yasin Çelebi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Yasin Çelebi made the kick off in the second half. Yasin Çelebi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Mersin FK getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Yusuf Bahadır Sümer hit a great ball. Mersin FK's Carl-Rune Bøthun got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Poyraz Torkal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carl-Rune Bøthun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 78 minutes of play, Mersin FK's Carl-Rune Bøthun made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Poyraz Torkal was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Carl-Rune Bøthun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ziya Onur Semir got free with Lütfi Dursunali in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lütfi Dursunali made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ziya Onur Semir in the 89th minute. If Carl-Rune Bøthun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yusuf Bahadır Sümer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Poyraz Torkal having to interfere. zonguldakkömür's Poyraz Torkal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl-Rune Bøthun in the 99th minute of play.
