Aytunç Çiltay kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. After 4 minutes, Hami Yoruk made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Cerit's Abdulkerim Yetiş tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Hakkı Kapar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Abdulkerim Yetiş was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and Hakkı Kapar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hakkı Kapar really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. After a rather tough play, Cerit's Rahim Yusuf got a free kick in the 13th minute. Hakkı Kapar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ali Erdem Durualp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boğaç Tolay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Boğaç Tolay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Ali Erdem Durualp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute, one of Giresun FK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Giresun FK. Giresun FK:s Ali Erdem Durualp showed great skill when he stopped Ergün Sureha:s penalty. The supporters of Giresun FK booed when Cerit was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mert Hastimur didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Kartal Durukan sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cerit's Abdulkerim Yetiş didn't even have to move. Hakkı Kapar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 32 minutes of play, Giresun FK's Hami Yoruk made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abdulkerim Yetiş was left in no man's land by his defense there! Abdulkerim Yetiş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hakkı Kapar in the 42nd minute of play. Hami Yoruk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

57 minutes into the match, Cerit's goal looked a bit too open when Hami Yoruk came free, but Abdulkerim Yetiş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Besim Tolunay's late challenge caught a Cerit's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Boğaç Tolay who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Ali Erdem Durualp when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Umur İrem's late challenge caught a Giresun FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kartal Durukan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 71st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Hakkı Kapar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cerit's zone, Hakkı Kapar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdulkerim Yetiş came out of the goal and Hakkı Kapar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the match, Hakkı Kapar notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Cerit's Abdulkerim Yetiş. Abdulkerim Yetiş was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Hami Yoruk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abdulkerim Yetiş was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. In the 86th minute Hakkı Kapar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdulkerim Yetiş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, Hakkı Kapar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Giresun FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Abdulkerim Yetiş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hakkı Kapar in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th match minute, Giresun FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aysan Yazgan to maneuver through the defense. Hakkı Kapar scored 7-0 in the 99th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abdulkerim Yetiş, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Giresun FK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
