In the 5th minute, Yıldırım Münib got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 8 minutes into the match, Mustafa Kemal Şenyurt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Troy Walls. FenerBahçeSK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mustafa Kemal Şenyurt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Ferhan Yetener's late challenge caught a FenerBahçeSK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ferhan Yetener helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FenerBahçeSK booed when Eyüpspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferhan Yetener didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute of the match Ali Emir Yildıran shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mehmet Bilge Durcan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Yıldırım Münib could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Troy Walls made a huge save. Troy Walls didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mustafa Kemal Şenyurt went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. FenerBahçeSK's Ali Emir Yildıran managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Yıldırım Münib in the 19 minute of the game. 21 minutes into the game, Cristoforo Crema cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Mehmet Bilge Durcan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 24 minutes into the game, Yıldırım Münib was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Eyüpspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FenerBahçeSK the free kick. Yıldırım Münib kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. A collision led to FenerBahçeSK getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Bahri Pekdeger hit a great ball. Mustafa Kemal Şenyurt struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Troy Walls didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eyüpspor. Mustafa Kemal Şenyurt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Troy Walls read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Mehmet Bilge Durcan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mehmet Hamdi Hürsel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mehmet Bilge Durcan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bahattin Tuncay in the 34th minute of play. Troy Walls made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Mustafa Kemal Şenyurt sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Eyüpspor's Mustafa Kemal Şenyurt got a free kick in the 38th minute. Mehmet Bilge Durcan came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by FenerBahçeSK's Mehmet Hamdi Hürsel. But to his dismay, Mehmet Hamdi Hürsel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Troy Walls was a little too slow when Mustafa Kemal Şenyurt got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 3-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mustafa Kemal Şenyurt made a kick off. Mustafa Kemal Şenyurt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eyüpspor's Korkut Ongunsu got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Mustafa Kemal Şenyurt came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Eyüpspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mustafa Kemal Şenyurt couldn't finish the play. Troy Walls showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mustafa Kemal Şenyurt in the 57th minute of the match. FenerBahçeSK's Troy Walls played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yıldırım Münib in the 61st minute of play. In the 66th minute, Korkut Ongunsu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eyüpspor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. When Cemalettin Sözmen came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Eyüpspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cemalettin Sözmen couldn't finish the play. Cristoforo Crema received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Mehmet Bilge Durcan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 88 minutes, Cemalettin Sözmen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eyüpspor and the FenerBahçeSK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 88th minute, Cemalettin Sözmen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yıldırım Münib received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Troy Walls tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FenerBahçeSK's Troy Walls played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferhan Yetener in the 96th minute of play. Eyüpspor's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
