Damazy Czermak's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Alim Saik skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 37th minute of the match Boruc Kaczor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alim Saik showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damazy Czermak in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alim Saik saved ATAKUM SK from getting behind. If Murat Selim Unsur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Murat Selim Unsur to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Mersin getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Abuzer Bakkalbaşı hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, ATAKUM SK's goal looked a bit too open when Kerimhan Özdilek came free, but Alim Saik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in ATAKUM SK's zone, Damazy Czermak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alim Saik came out of the goal and Damazy Czermak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alim Saik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dilmen Toraman in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dilmen Toraman in the 67th minute of play forced ATAKUM SK's goalkeeper Alim Saik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mersin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ATAKUM SK the free kick. In the 89th minute, Kerimhan Özdilek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. İbrahim Korkutalp's late challenge caught a ATAKUM SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. İbrahim Korkutalp helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Mersin getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. İbrahim Korkutalp hit a great ball. Despite being the better team, Mersin failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
