Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kuddusî Cihaner started the match with the kick off. Ulaş Usman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kuddusî Cihaner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Balikesir booed when Tünel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Orhan Ongu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Balikesir's Berkan Yenal tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Tünel's zone, Aşık Umman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yenal Rebi came out of the goal and Aşık Umman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Kuddusî Cihaner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Tünel's goal looked a bit too open when Namık Polatkılıç came free, but Yenal Rebi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aşık Umman struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Yenal Rebi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balikesir. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aşık Umman couldn't finish the play. If Namık Polatkılıç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kuddusî Cihaner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Ulaş Usman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Balikesir's Namık Polatkılıç sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yenal Rebi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kuddusî Cihaner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferit Müşfik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Namık Polatkılıç was the one to do the kick off. After 80 minutes, Bedrettin Taşkan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Balikesir and the Tünel players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bedrettin Taşkan kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. When Aşık Umman came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Balikesir fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aşık Umman couldn't finish the play. Melih Siraceddin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ulaş Usman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Ahmet Orhan Ongu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tünel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Ulaş Usman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kuddusî Cihaner in the 93rd minute of the match.
