Çağlar Sabi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Honaz getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Onurhan Oytun hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Honaz's zone, Faruk Orgunalp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Korkut Nesil came out of the goal and Faruk Orgunalp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Yunus Kulan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tuncer Hasankeyf in the 24th minute of play forced Honaz's goalkeeper Korkut Nesil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 27 minutes, Yunus Kulan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hozat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yunus Kulan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Korkut Nesil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yunus Kulan in the 37th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Ali Vedat Kortan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yunus Kulan in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Korkut Nesil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Selim Yadigar made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Çağlar Sabi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oktay Öztuna was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Hulki Ulukan's late challenge caught a Honaz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Hozat's Hulki Ulukan got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Honaz's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ali Vedat Kortan in the 64th minute. The corner led Honaz's İsmail Orhun Demirdelen to fire away a dangerous shot which Oktay Öztuna despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Honaz's Hakkı Deniz Akbudun got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
