The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Durusu FK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when İrfan Paşa scored to the left of an out of position Ferdi Çanak, making the score, 1-0. Ferdi Çanak made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Cemalettin Yavuzhan sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by İsmail Hakkı Özkut in the 15th minute of play forced Bekilli SK's goalkeeper Münir Tekinalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. İzzettin İlksel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ferdi Çanak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cemalettin Yavuzhan in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Ferdi Çanak was a little too slow when Cemalettin Yavuzhan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Başar Apaydın stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Bekilli SK's Münir Tekinalp got control of the ball when İsmail Hakkı Özkut tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Cemalettin Yavuzhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Durusu FK were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Bekilli SK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Naci Adalıoğlu took the corner. İsmail Hakkı Özkut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Durusu FK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
