Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) With an all-out effort, Gediz's Ahmet Rıfat Zeval threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Efe Ünalan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 12th minute Topkapi were awarded a corner. Kıraç Okdemir went to the cornerflag to take it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mirza Göktepe during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mirza Göktepe hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Efe Ünalan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Rıfat Zeval having to interfere. In the 21st minute of the match, Ahmet Erdem Balyemez got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ahmet Rıfat Zeval was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gediz's Vecdet Öktüre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alpertunga Özakıncı in the 25th minute of play. Ahmet Erdem Balyemez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Efe Ünalan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Topkapi's Kurtuluş Eren suffered a sore thigh after 33 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Mirza Göktepe was shown his second yellow card after 33 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Topkapi's Ali Berkant Oğuzbay got a free kick in the 41st minute. Ahmet Erdem Balyemez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 47 minutes, Efe Ünalan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gediz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Efe Ünalan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ferhan Şemsifer to make the kick off. Ferhan Şemsifer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Vecdet Öktüre when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ferhan Şemsifer struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Vecdet Öktüre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Topkapi. If Ferhan Şemsifer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ömer Oyman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Rıfat Zeval having to interfere. Ahmet Rıfat Zeval stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Erdem Balyemez's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Alaaddin Genç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ahmet Rıfat Zeval tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ferhan Şemsifer came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Topkapi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferhan Şemsifer couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gediz's goalkeeper Vecdet Öktüre, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 80 minutes, Efe Ünalan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gediz and the Topkapi players grew even worse after the yellow card. Post out! In the 94th minute, Gediz's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ferhan Şemsifer fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 95th minute, Ahmet Erdem Balyemez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gediz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Gediz's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
