But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Turabi Ortunc couldn't finish the play. Mustafa Ali Topçam's late challenge caught a Evren's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mustafa Ali Topçam helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Kula getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Mustafa Ali Topçam hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Lemi Uçbeyi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. İsrafil Kaçan, 22 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. After a rather tough play, Evren's Sabahattin Çelikkan got a free kick in the 30th minute. Mustafa Birol Nevsal hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Abdulkerim Taciroğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Kula getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Mustafa Ali Topçam hit a great ball. Ahmet Sedat Yoruç showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Turabi Ortunc in the 37th minute of the match. Kula's Ahmet Sedat Yoruç played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Turabi Ortunc in the 40th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Sabahattin Çelikkan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mustafa Orhan Yalçıner stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 0-1 became the score in the 51st minute when Abdulaziz Ramiz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by İsrafil Kaçan during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th minute, one of Evren:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Evren. In the 61st minute, Mustafa Orhan Yalçıner made a precise shot to the right of Talat Aktay. Evren's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After 68 played minutes, Evren's İsrafil Kaçan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ahmet Sedat Yoruç came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Evren reached it. Abdulkerim Taciroğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Talat Aktay having to interfere. Mustafa Birol Nevsal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mustafa Birol Nevsal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evren's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
