With 17 minutes on the clock, Battal Seyyit Selçuk commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After a defensive mix-up in BEŞİKTAŞ JK's zone, Mehmet Hamdi Akcebe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murat Tufan came out of the goal and Mehmet Hamdi Akcebe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st minute, Sütcüler SK's Bedri Nasip ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Murat Tufan. Murat Tufan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Through an outstanding action, after 47 minutes, Murat Tufan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

BEŞİKTAŞ JK's Mehmet Oğuz Devan got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Okaner Ulubek's late challenge caught a BEŞİKTAŞ JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Okaner Ulubek helped the player get up and apologised. Okaner Ulubek kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 60th minute Bedri Nasip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murat Tufan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 96 minutes, Mehmet Oğuz Devan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BEŞİKTAŞ JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mehmet Oğuz Devan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
