In the 3rd minute Aydın Ongar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gani Türkol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 5 minutes, Yiğit Çelen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Güneş Erez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Kanalarkasispor's Mehmet Osman Kemalettin got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kanalarkasispor's goalkeeper Gani Türkol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kanalarkasispor's Gani Türkol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şahin Ersavaş in the 21st minute of play. Şahin Ersavaş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Gani Türkol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Atakan Bağışhan got free with Yiğit Çelen in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gani Türkol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aydın Ongar in the 31st minute of play. Gani Türkol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aydın Ongar in the 34th minute of the match. Şahin Ersavaş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Şahin Ersavaş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Korgan's Aydın Ongar got a free kick in the 42nd minute. If Aydın Ongar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Şahin Ersavaş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Aydın Ongar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Korgan's supporters rose to their feet, but Aydın Ongar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gani Türkol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 55th match minute, Korgan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aydın Ongar to maneuver through the defense. 67 minutes into the match, Korgan's goal looked a bit too open when Atakan Bağışhan came free, but Yiğit Çelen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yiğit Çelen came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Kanalarkasispor's Atakan Bağışhan. But to his dismay, Atakan Bağışhan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 82nd minute, Beyhan Siyami hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aydın Ongar struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Gani Türkol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Korgan. Şahin Ersavaş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gani Türkol having to interfere. Gani Türkol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aydın Ongar in the 86th minute of play. When Güneş Erez came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Kanalarkasispor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Güneş Erez couldn't finish the play. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kanalarkasispor! The goalkeeper, Gani Türkol, was totally fooled by Korgan's Hikmet Baydan, who 96 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Korgan eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
