Tolga Mansız didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sandikli. 19 minutes into the match, Tornado FC's goal looked a bit too open when İsrafil Sarısaltuk came free, but Tolga Mansız reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kılıçalp Ceviz hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Leon Okopnys short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Gündüz Masuk to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Sandikli's zone, İlker Özerdal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gündüz Masuk came out of the goal and İlker Özerdal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute of the match, İlker Özerdal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gündüz Masuk saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ege Hekimbaşı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gündüz Masuk having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by İlker Özerdal got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A hard shot 39 in the game by İlker Özerdal from a close distance when the talented Gündüz Masuk managed to make a qualified save. Sandikli's players were relieved. Tolga Mansız didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Saltuk Oğuzbay went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that İlker Özerdal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gündüz Masuk was relentless in the 47th minute of the game.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. İlker Özerdal was the one to do the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leon Okopny couldn't finish the play.
