But to his dismay, Saip Uğuz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Engin Cenan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Birkan Çelenk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aybar Kamil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berat Saykut in the 23rd minute of play. Mehmet Hakkı Tanın made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Engin Cenan sent off a good shot on target. Birkan Çelenk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tayfur Beyan was extremely unlucky when he, in the 35th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Saip Uğuz hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Engin Cenan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 47 minutes into the game, Tayfur Beyan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Mehmet Hakkı Tanın was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Sihhiye were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Berat Saykut stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Sihhiye's Batuğ Kurman got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Tayfur Beyan struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Mehmet Hakkı Tanın didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Özalp. Sihhiye's Mehmet Hakkı Tanın played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Engin Cenan in the 57th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Devran Uğursel during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 89 played minutes Sihhiye got a freekick which was hit by Devran Uğursel. Bektaş Tuğcu hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Özalp were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
