In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ahirli JK's goalkeeper Levent Akçakoca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ahirli JK's Ali Asım Erdoğan got a free kick in the 12th minute. Battal Yörük could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Levent Akçakoca made a huge save. Tayfur Sunay struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Galip Baştugay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ahirli JK. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Atalay Özdek in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Galip Baştugay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Atalay Özdek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Galip Baştugay having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ahirli JK's Niyazi Togan got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Mehmet Bedri Mehdi hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. When Ahirli JK's Tayfur Sunay in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Düzce FK's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niyazi Togan in the 32nd minute of play forced Düzce FK's goalkeeper Galip Baştugay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Ali Asım Erdoğan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ahirli JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ali Asım Erdoğan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Galip Baştugay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tayfur Sunay was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Düzce FK's zone, Atalay Özdek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Galip Baştugay came out of the goal and Atalay Özdek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atalay Özdek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Galip Baştugay having to interfere. In the 67th minute Ahirli JK were awarded a corner. Suat Kutan went to the cornerflag to take it. Niyazi Togan was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 76th minute, Battal Yörük made a precise shot to the right of Levent Akçakoca. Ahirli JK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 79th minute, Battal Yörük got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th minute, Tayfur Sunay fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ahirli JK's Atalay Özdek got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Tayfur Sunay came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Ahirli JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tayfur Sunay couldn't finish the play. 92 minutes into the game, Atalay Özdek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Galip Baştugay was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Levent Akçakoca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serter Arslangiray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
