The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Galata getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Marcin Birkenhagen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hayyam Vahit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the match, Cerkes FK's goalkeeper Hamit Tolgunay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Atacan Savtekin. Hamit Tolgunay was a little too slow when Atacan Savtekin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. After having played for 21 minutes, Hayyam Vahit managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cerkes FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hayyam Vahit was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Galata's Marcin Birkenhagen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tolga Kutluay in the 22nd minute of play. Tolga Kutluay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcin Birkenhagen having to interfere. After having played for 32 minutes, Hayyam Vahit managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cerkes FK the free kick. After 37 played minutes Galata got a freekick which was hit by Raşit Hidayettin. Halis Toker's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hamit Tolgunay firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 44th minute, Hayyam Vahit ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcin Birkenhagen was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Atacan Savtekin made a kick off. Cüneyd Turgut hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raşit Hidayettin in the 55th minute of play forced Cerkes FK's goalkeeper Hamit Tolgunay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the game, Atacan Savtekin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Hamit Tolgunay was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcin Birkenhagen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hamit Tolgunay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Halis Toker in the 82nd minute of the match. If Tolga Kutluay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, Atacan Savtekin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hamit Tolgunay. Cerkes FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Atacan Savtekin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Galata had won after a very even match.
