The referee ignored sökespor's protests and gave Battal Seyyit Şahinkan a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes sökespor got a freekick which was hit by Battal Seyyit Şahinkan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinç Zağanos in the 31st minute of play forced sökespor's goalkeeper Tibet Engintalay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hüsmen Şenyaşar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Münir Tapık having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hüsmen Şenyaşar was the one to do the kick off. Abdulkadir Reca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Tibet Engintalay made a huge save. Orçun Batüralp kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Abdulkadir Reca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Tibet Engintalay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dinç Zağanos in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tibet Engintalay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tibet Engintalay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinç Zağanos, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Alim Satılmış recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hüsmen Şenyaşar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
