Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Veysel İmralı kicked off to start the match. When Ali Behzat Bozoğluer came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Türkoglu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ali Behzat Bozoğluer couldn't finish the play. In the 11th minute of the match Mehmet Serimer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ferman Şah skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tibet Tekiner got free with Ahmet Korcan Erşahin in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tibet Tekiner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Ahmet Korcan Erşahin made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tibet Tekiner in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmet Korcan Erşahin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ferman Şah stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aytunç İpekçi's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. With an all-out effort, Mersin's Ahmet Korcan Erşahin threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Veysel İmralı, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Tibet Tekiner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmet Korcan Erşahin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Veysel İmralı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aytunç İpekçi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ferman Şah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ali Behzat Bozoğluer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ali Behzat Bozoğluer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aytunç İpekçi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute of the match Mehmet Serimer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ferman Şah skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mersin's zone, Ali Behzat Bozoğluer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferman Şah came out of the goal and Ali Behzat Bozoğluer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ferman Şah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Behzat Bozoğluer in the 44th minute of play. Ahmet Korcan Erşahin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veysel İmralı in the 46th minute of play.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aytunç İpekçi made a kick off. Veysel İmralı sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aytunç İpekçi struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Ferman Şah didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Türkoglu. Ahmet Korcan Erşahin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Veysel İmralı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Aytunç İpekçi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferman Şah made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ali Behzat Bozoğluer in the 82nd minute. Ferman Şah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aytunç İpekçi in the 86th minute of play. If Aytunç İpekçi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Türkoglu booed when Mersin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hürkan Okergun didn't get a good kick on the ball.
