After a defensive mix-up in Fenerbahçe SK's zone, Balamir Nazım stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kullervo Mikkonen came out of the goal and Balamir Nazım tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sezer Garipoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achilleas Voulinos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Achilleas Voulinos in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sezer Garipoğlu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Achilleas Voulinos hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Yağız Temirkut reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kullervo Mikkonen. The goal made the score 1-0. When Mehmet Akif Sidal came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Gutbuster Brigade fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mehmet Akif Sidal couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Achilleas Voulinos put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Sezer Garipoğlu. Gutbuster Brigade's Sezer Garipoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Akın Çakar in the 40th minute of play. Fenerbahçe SK's Kullervo Mikkonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yıldırım Oskan in the 43rd minute of play. Yıldırım Oskan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After some careless play in the Gutbuster Brigade defense, Achilleas Voulinos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sezer Garipoğlu. The Gutbuster Brigade fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sezer Garipoğlu should have stopped the shot. Yağız Temirkut hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. When Fenerbahçe SK's Achilleas Voulinos in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 81st minute, Fenerbahçe SK's Ali Baran Keçeli seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ali Baran Keçeli the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Fenerbahçe SK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ali Baran Keçeli had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After having played for 83 minutes, Balamir Nazım managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gutbuster Brigade's supporters crossed their fingers, but Balamir Nazım was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Fenerbahçe SK booed when Gutbuster Brigade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yağız Temirkut didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fenerbahçe SK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
