Utkan Evcimen hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Vakfikebir's goal looked a bit too open when Cihat Keçili came free, but Sadri Asya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute Cihat Keçili shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sadri Asya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmund Hejza to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Arif Ozan Çiftçibaşı threw the ball into play from the sideline. Vakfikebir's Hillar Veskur quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Gündüz Hançer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmund Hejza, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmund Hejza in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gündüz Hançer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 95 minutes, Edmund Hejza made it 4-2 with a short kick to the right side. Galata Saray's Gündüz Hançer tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Vakfikebir's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
