Ali Cafer Ergönül fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sami Bakırhan having to interfere. After 27 played minutes Geyve got a freekick which was hit by Özcan Vahdet. Ümit Tanyelis short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Haluk İçkin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Haluk İçkin managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Salihli FK's Ümit Tanyeli fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Semi Remzi kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Arcan Cemşit got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sami Bakırhan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Haluk İçkin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Berk Koçer was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 46 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Kutlualp Doğanay made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kutlualp Doğanay in the 57th minute of play forced Salihli FK's goalkeeper Sami Bakırhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ali Cafer Ergönül sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salihli FK's Sami Bakırhan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Salihli FK from getting a goal against them. Birsel Serir hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, Arcan Cemşit sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Salihli FK's Sami Bakırhan didn't even have to move. Haluk İçkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ümit Tanyeli in the 72nd minute of the match. After 73 minutes, Battal Gazi Suer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Geyve and the Salihli FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. 75 minutes into the match, Salihli FK's goal looked a bit too open when Kutlualp Doğanay came free, but Sami Bakırhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ali Cafer Ergönül sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kutlualp Doğanay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Sami Bakırhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Geyve left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Salihli FK.
