When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Dursun Günden sped through Osmaniye's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Melih Cevdet Bakkalbaşıoğlu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mert Özaltuğ in the 18th minute of play forced Zonguldakspor's goalkeeper Alemdar Okcun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Melih Cevdet Bakkalbaşıoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Akil Eralkan in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kadir Özkent in the 30th minute of play forced Osmaniye's goalkeeper Melih Cevdet Bakkalbaşıoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 minutes of play, Zonguldakspor's Kadir Özkent made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dursun Günden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melih Cevdet Bakkalbaşıoğlu having to interfere. The Osmaniye players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Zonguldakspor were winning 0-3.

Zonguldakspor's Dursun Günden got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 53rd minute, Dursun Günden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Zonguldakspor booed when Osmaniye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hasan Hüseyin İmren didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Kadir Özkent managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zonguldakspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Kadir Özkent was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melih Cevdet Bakkalbaşıoğlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Osmaniye's Melih Cevdet Bakkalbaşıoğlu got control of the ball when Kadir Özkent tried to sneak it across the goal line.
