Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Kerim Gündeş made the kick off which started today's match. When Hamdullah Toregün fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Doganyol's protests and gave Hamdullah Toregün a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Doganyol getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Hamdullah Toregün hit a great ball. Kerim Gündeş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Haşmet Kayaer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Hamdullah Toregün hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Kerim Gündeş had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Haşmet Kayaer. Doganyol's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kerim Gündeş was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The supporters of GaLaTaSaRaY booed when Doganyol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamdullah Toregün didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind GaLaTaSaRaY's goalkeeper Fuat Ege, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kerim Gündeş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Haşmet Kayaer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kerim Gündeş in the 30th minute of play forced Doganyol's goalkeeper Haşmet Kayaer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hamdullah Toregün kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Haşmet Kayaer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kerim Gündeş, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute of the match Yenal Oskan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Haşmet Kayaer skillfully saved the ball. Abdulkadir Vurgun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Aşkın Tecik made the kick off in the second half. Haşmet Kayaer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kerim Gündeş in the 57th minute of the match. Doganyol's Haşmet Kayaer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Doganyol from getting a goal against them. After 80 played minutes Doganyol got a freekick which was hit by Berkem Başoğlu. Haşmet Kayaer was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Menderes Babaoğlu. In the 85th minute, Karhan Eryaman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute of the match Menderes Babaoğlu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Haşmet Kayaer skillfully saved the ball. After 86 played minutes Doganyol got a freekick which was hit by Hamdullah Toregün. Haşmet Kayaer made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Abdulkadir Vurgun sent off a good shot on target. Haşmet Kayaer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kerim Gündeş, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When the final whistle sounded GaLaTaSaRaY left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Doganyol.
