The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ahmet Emir Demirezen made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Afşar Durul sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of TOKATSPOR booed when BayEr sTR FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Semavi Kuntman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmet Emir Demirezen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bedrettin Olgaç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. BayEr sTR FC's Gazanfer Özcan Tarhun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesur Arıhan in the 16th minute of play. If Bilge Kağan Derdiyok had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesur Arıhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gazanfer Özcan Tarhun having to interfere. When TOKATSPOR's Cesur Arıhan in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BayEr sTR FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 26thth minute of the game Gazanfer Özcan Topuz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BayEr sTR FC's Gazanfer Özcan Tarhun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 27 minutes, Gazanfer Özcan Topuz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TOKATSPOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gazanfer Özcan Topuz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cesur Arıhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute Bilge Kağan Derdiyok shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Emir Demirezen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Afşar Durul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 minutes, Bilge Kağan Derdiyok mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BayEr sTR FC and the TOKATSPOR players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 played minutes BayEr sTR FC got a freekick which was hit by Bilge Kağan Derdiyok. BayEr sTR FC's Gazanfer Özcan Tarhun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gazanfer Özcan Topuz in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bilge Kağan Derdiyok made a kick off. Ahmet Emir Demirezen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bilge Kağan Derdiyok, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gazanfer Özcan Tarhun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesur Arıhan in the 70th minute of play. Ahmet Emir Demirezen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bilge Kağan Derdiyok, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Afşar Durul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Emir Demirezen having to interfere. Afşar Durul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. TOKATSPOR's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
