If Mehmet Edip Oykan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Emir Zekai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aktuğ Zaim's late challenge caught a LYON FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aktuğ Zaim helped the player get up and apologised. Aktuğ Zaim kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Armağan Sancaktar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mehmet Halis Türkmen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aykut Esraf was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th match minute, LYON FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by İsmail Hakkı Taze to maneuver through the defense. After 60 minutes, Taner Batıray mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LYON FC and the ÇARŞI players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aykut Esraf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Taner Batıray came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the LYON FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Taner Batıray couldn't finish the play. Aygün Namık struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Armağan Sancaktar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LYON FC. Aygün Namık in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Armağan Sancaktar, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in ÇARŞI's zone, Aygün Namık stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armağan Sancaktar came out of the goal and Aygün Namık tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aygün Namık who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Armağan Sancaktar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. ÇARŞI's Armağan Sancaktar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save ÇARŞI from getting a goal against them. Mehmet Edip Oykan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aygün Namık got free with Armağan Sancaktar in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mehmet Edip Oykan didn't quite understand what happened when in the 94 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Taner Batıray was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 96 played minutes LYON FC got a freekick which was hit by Taner Batıray. The supporters of ÇARŞI booed when LYON FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aygün Namık didn't get a good kick on the ball. LYON FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
