The audience thought a goal was coming when Jay-Jay Yıldız got free with Aşık Bir in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 13th minute of the match Battal Cüneyt Siralp sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aşık Bir skillfully saved the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Lüleburgaz Spor Klubü's goal looked a bit too open when Mustafa Kemal Başkaya came free, but Şakir Haşmetli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lüleburgaz Spor Klubü's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karadeniz FC the free kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jay-Jay Yıldız couldn't finish the play.
