Denizlispor's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Sedat Akbaş scored to the left of an out of position Fedai Altunhan, making the score, 2-0. Yağız Tükel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fedai Altunhan came out and tried to block the shot, but Yağız Tükel slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 21st minute. Fedai Altunhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yağız Tükel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Fedai Altunhan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After having played for 30 minutes, Sancar Temizkal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Denizlispor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sancar Temizkal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the I Y I defense, Güngör Ortunc kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alp Uludoğan. The I Y I fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alp Uludoğan should have stopped the shot. Sancar Temizkal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sancar Temizkal in the 40th minute of play forced I Y I's goalkeeper Alp Uludoğan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alp Uludoğan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sancar Temizkal, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.
