Gökçen Sebukalp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Can Boysan in the 5th minute. When Süleyman Adalıoğlu came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the GençlerBirliği SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Süleyman Adalıoğlu couldn't finish the play. Kumru FK's Arın Vechi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Battal Berksu in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, GençlerBirliği SK's goal looked a bit too open when Güntekin Sıbgatullah came free, but Gökçen Sebukalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 played minutes, Kumru FK's Kaptan Keyfer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gökçen Sebukalp came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kumru FK reached it. The supporters of Kumru FK booed when GençlerBirliği SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fevzi Kürşat didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in GençlerBirliği SK's zone, Can Boysan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gökçen Sebukalp came out of the goal and Can Boysan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gökçen Sebukalp made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Can Boysan sent off a good shot on target. Battal Berksu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Süleyman Adalıoğlu in the 41st minute of play forced Kumru FK's goalkeeper Arın Vechi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Can Boysan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kumru FK's Arın Vechi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Süleyman Adalıoğlu in the 45th minute of play. Gökçen Sebukalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Güntekin Sıbgatullah in the 48th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a rather tough play, GençlerBirliği SK's Fevzi Kürşat got a free kick in the 51st minute. Kumru FK's Can Boysan got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gökçen Sebukalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Güntekin Sıbgatullah in the 54th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Kumru FK's goalkeeper Arın Vechi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Süleyman Adalıoğlu. Süleyman Adalıoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arın Vechi having to interfere. In the 61st match minute, Kumru FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nurkan Karabugra to maneuver through the defense. Gökçen Sebukalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Güntekin Sıbgatullah in the 66th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as GençlerBirliği SK's Battal Berksu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arın Vechi. That made the score 2-1 after 69 minutes of play. 72 minutes into the match, Can Boysan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gökçen Sebukalp. GençlerBirliği SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Can Boysan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 76 minutes into the game, Güntekin Sıbgatullah cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Gökçen Sebukalp was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Can Boysan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gencay Has hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute, GençlerBirliği SK's Battal Berksu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-2. In the 95th minute, Süleyman Adalıoğlu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GençlerBirliği SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. GençlerBirliği SK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
