In the 5th minute, Sabri Hikmet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Müfit Baybars kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Samim İsmail took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erkut Tara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hamza Erandaç was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Yahya Haseki capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Yahya Haseki really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 16th match minute, Sakaryaspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yahya Haseki to maneuver through the defense. Sakaryaspor's Samim İsmail played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erkut Tara in the 20th minute of play. Babak's Hamza Erandaç proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Babak from getting a goal against them. 31 minutes in the game, Yahya Haseki dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Sakaryaspor's Yahya Haseki got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yahya Haseki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fahrettin İlkcan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hamza Erandaç having to make a save. Yahya Haseki struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Hamza Erandaç didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sakaryaspor. Samim İsmail came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Babak's Ali Macit Toköz. But to his dismay, Ali Macit Toköz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mustafa Hakan Berksu to make the kick off. If Müfit Baybars had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erkut Tara got free with Samim İsmail in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Samim İsmail made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erkut Tara in the 67th minute. In the 68th match minute, Babak was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Macit Toköz to maneuver through the defense. Müfit Baybars fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamza Erandaç having to interfere. Yahya Haseki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sakaryaspor's Fahrettin İlkcan in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Babak's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 82 minutes, Yahya Haseki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sakaryaspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yahya Haseki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Müfit Baybars sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yahya Haseki in the 85th minute of play forced Babak's goalkeeper Hamza Erandaç to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ali Macit Toköz kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Samim İsmail made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Macit Toköz in the 88th minute of play. A collision led to Babak getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Mustafa Hakan Berksu hit a great ball. With his leg Samim İsmail managed to avoid a goal in the 97thth minute, when Babak's Erkut Tara fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
