After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Mehmet Bedri Yanık managed to get in a good position for a shot. Waltospor FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mehmet Bedri Yanık was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arif Burak Sureha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Mehmet Bedri Yanık had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The tension between the Igdir and the Waltospor FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Waltospor FC booed when Igdir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ardahan Levent didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waltospor FC's Kubat Gazzal couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 24th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Igdir. Mehmet Bedri Yanık recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yıldıray Bostancı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arif Burak Sureha having to interfere. Ardahan Levent kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Waltospor FC's Kubat Gazzal couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 37th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Igdir. 39 minutes into the game, Mehmet Bedri Yanık cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Arif Burak Sureha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Bedri Yanık in the 43rd minute of play forced Igdir's goalkeeper Arif Burak Sureha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Yıldıray Bostancı made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Kuddusî Arkan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Bülent Evcimen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Müjdat Tor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Ahmet Bülent Evcimen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Waltospor FC's Nebi Zevahir got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 62nd match minute, Waltospor FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kubat Gazzal to maneuver through the defense. Ahmet Bülent Evcimen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Varol Oray in the 63rd minute of play. When Ardahan Levent was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 66 minutes had been played. A collision led to Igdir getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Ardahan Levent hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Igdir's zone, Yıldıray Bostancı stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arif Burak Sureha came out of the goal and Yıldıray Bostancı tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Müjdat Tor in the 72nd minute of play forced Waltospor FC's goalkeeper Ahmet Bülent Evcimen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aytek Alpaslan hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Yıldıray Bostancı's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arif Burak Sureha was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. If Yıldıray Bostancı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
