Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ercan Usalp started the match with the kick off. The attack was good, but when Sebastian Kliemann in the 5th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Uğuralp Buğdaycı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastian Kliemann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sancarbey Refet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute Sebastian Kliemann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sancarbey Refet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Galata's zone, Özdemir Tuncal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sancarbey Refet came out of the goal and Özdemir Tuncal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cihat Melih during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cihat Melih hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Üzeyir Oğuzalp hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Sebastian Kliemann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sancarbey Refet was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. The supporters of Beşiktaş booed when Galata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Bedri Orhun didn't get a good kick on the ball.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sebastian Kliemann made a kick off. Sancarbey Refet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Kliemann in the 57th minute of the match. Uğuralp Buğdaycı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Cezmi Soner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Kliemann in the 61st minute of play forced Galata's goalkeeper Sancarbey Refet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Özdemir Tuncal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beşiktaş's supporters rose to their feet, but Özdemir Tuncal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sancarbey Refet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Özdemir Tuncal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sancarbey Refet having to interfere. If Özdemir Tuncal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes in the game, Sebastian Kliemann fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Sancarbey Refet having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Galata's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Kliemann came free, but Sancarbey Refet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ercan Usalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cezmi Soner having to interfere. Ercan Usalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Özdemir Tuncal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sancarbey Refet having to interfere. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Sebastian Kliemann sped through Galata's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sancarbey Refet. When the final whistle sounded Beşiktaş left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Galata.
