Battal Seyyit Süleymanoğlu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vecdi Baba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Vecdi Baba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zühtü Ongut in the 24th minute of play. In the 34thth minute of the game Şenel Kubilay who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aksu's Can Tümer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 44 minutes, Zühtü Ongut mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aksu and the Besiktas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th match minute, Aksu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zühtü Ongut to maneuver through the defense. Battal Seyyit Süleymanoğlu scored 1-0 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vecdi Baba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Tan Uçanok managed to get in a good position for a shot. Besiktas's supporters rose to their feet, but Tan Uçanok was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Can Tümer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 84th minute Şenel Kubilay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Can Tümer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Refik Halit Dağasan might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Can Tümer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Refik Halit Dağasan ran back to his position shaking his head. Şenel Kubilay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
