When Keramettin Necati fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meram FK's protests and gave Keramettin Necati a yellow card for diving instead. Keramettin Necati hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the game, one of Gürgentep:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Keramettin Necati was shown his second yellow card after 20 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 20 played minutes Meram FK got a freekick which was hit by Keramettin Necati. Özcan İsmihan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Meriç Kızılateş came out and tried to block the shot, but Özcan İsmihan slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 23rd minute. Paşa Ali Ongunsu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baran Uygun, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Meram FK's Özcan İsmihan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Meriç Kızılateş. That made the score 3-0 after 28 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Gürgentep's zone, Duran Oğuralp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Meriç Kızılateş came out of the goal and Duran Oğuralp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serdar Yetişbey in the 37th minute of play forced Meram FK's goalkeeper Paşa Ali Ongunsu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karhan Utku sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gürgentep's Meriç Kızılateş proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Gürgentep from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Gürgentep booed when Meram FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tansel Umurbay didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Şahin Ergener came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Gürgentep fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Şahin Ergener couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Meriç Kızılateş didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Özcan İsmihan went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Tansel Umurbay hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Gürgentep's Şahin Ergener took a good shot, in the 61st minute, which hit the crossbar above Paşa Ali Ongunsu's head, and flew over the goal. Meram FK's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Gürgentep. The supporters of Gürgentep booed when Meram FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Üzeyir Taki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Özcan İsmihan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karhan Utku recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paşa Ali Ongunsu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garip Mutlualp, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Necip Fazıl Lefter during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gürgentep's Necip Fazıl Lefter got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Özcan İsmihan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute, Özcan İsmihan made a precise shot to the right of Meriç Kızılateş. Gürgentep's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Özcan İsmihan might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Meriç Kızılateş. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Özcan İsmihan ran back to his position shaking his head. Meram FK's Özcan İsmihan got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 97 minutes into the match, Duran Oğuralp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Meriç Kızılateş. Gürgentep's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Duran Oğuralp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Meram FK had won after a very even match.
