The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Halil İbrahim Doğulu kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. If Zaid Hükümran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th match minute, karatop FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vahap Pekgöz to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Mehmet Hakkı Tüzmen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kutlu Yılkan was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Servet Balcıoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Koralp Nusret having to interfere. If Servet Balcıoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zaid Hükümran got free with Ahmet Koralp Nusret in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 30th play minutes Servet Balcıoğlu shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Ahmet Koralp Nusret and just under the crossbar into goal. 40 minutes into the match, karatop FK's goalkeeper Ahmet Koralp Nusret had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zaid Hükümran. Servet Balcıoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zaid Hükümrans short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Ahmet Koralp Nusret to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Olcay Orkun Özyay to strike the kick off in the second half. Sürmene's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Osman Nuri Korhan in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute Zaid Hükümran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Koralp Nusret saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mehmet Hakkı Tüzmen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kutlu Yılkan having to make a save. Mehmet Hakkı Tüzmen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sürmene's Zaid Hükümran got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ahmet Koralp Nusret didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Servet Balcıoğlu went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Zaid Hükümran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ahmet Koralp Nusret was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Servet Balcıoğlu struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Ahmet Koralp Nusret didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sürmene. 87 minutes into the match, karatop FK's goal looked a bit too open when Zaid Hükümran came free, but Ahmet Koralp Nusret reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 91 minutes, Zaid Hükümran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sürmene's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zaid Hükümran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tolgahan Ulum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the karatop FK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sürmene.
