Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) GÖKÇESPOR's Bedir Öktürk started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5thth minute of the game Ali Cafer Kutay who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GÖKÇESPOR's Taci Kazım was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in GÖKÇESPOR's zone, Çelik Onursal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Taci Kazım came out of the goal and Çelik Onursal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. GWANGJU's Ali Cafer Kutay got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Çelik Onursal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Taci Kazım having to make a save. If Çelik Onursal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Çelik Onursal in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Taci Kazım saved GÖKÇESPOR from getting behind. After having played for 25 minutes, Ali Cafer Kutay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GWANGJU's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Cafer Kutay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute, Ali Cafer Kutay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Bedir Öktürk came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the GÖKÇESPOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bedir Öktürk couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Çelik Onursal in the 37th minute of play forced GÖKÇESPOR's goalkeeper Taci Kazım to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 41 minutes, Ali Cafer Kutay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GWANGJU's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Cafer Kutay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ali Cafer Kutay stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to GÖKÇESPOR getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Bedir Öktürk hit a great ball. GWANGJU's Sami Erseven got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Taci Kazım took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Çelik Onursal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ali Cafer Kutay struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Taci Kazım didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GWANGJU. Taci Kazım came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by GWANGJU's Çelik Onursal. But to his dismay, Çelik Onursal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bedir Öktürk in the 70th minute of play forced GWANGJU's goalkeeper Hikmet Vuralhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Refik Halit Şahoğlu hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as GWANGJU's Çelik Onursal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Taci Kazım. That made the score 0-2 after 79 minutes of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Özcan Özer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Taci Kazım. That made the score 0-3 in the 84 minute of play. GWANGJU played a much better game than GÖKÇESPOR and deserved their victory. The GÖKÇESPOR players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
