The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Behram Tayman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdulmelik Taşkan having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Fenerbahçe's Tolga Buminhan got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 27th minute, Veli Hürmüz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Celiktepe SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Abdulmelik Taşkan came out and tried to block the shot, but Veli Hürmüz slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 53rd minute. Behram Taymans short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Abdulmelik Taşkan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Abdulmelik Taşkan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Veli Hürmüz in the 62nd minute of the match. When Fenerbahçe's Mustafa Cumhur Şehzat in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Özmen Gümüşcüoğlu did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Abdulmelik Taşkan 74 minutes into the match. Mustafa Cumhur Şehzat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Atay Uçuk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veli Hürmüz in the 80th minute of play forced Fenerbahçe's goalkeeper Abdulmelik Taşkan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st match minute, Fenerbahçe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tolga Buminhan to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Behram Tayman could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Abdulmelik Taşkan however easily saved by the left post. In the 85th minute Veli Hürmüz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdulmelik Taşkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veli Hürmüz in the 87th minute of play forced Fenerbahçe's goalkeeper Abdulmelik Taşkan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abdulmelik Taşkan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veli Hürmüz in the 88th minute of play. With a little luck, Fenerbahçe's Abdulmelik Taşkan got control of the ball when Behram Tayman tried to sneak it across the goal line.
