The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emirşah Mustafa during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Emirşah Mustafa hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, Hatayspor's goal looked a bit too open when Abdurrezzak Şafak came free, but Güner Avcıoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abdurrezzak Şafak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Güner Avcıoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abdurrezzak Şafak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Güner Avcıoğlu having to interfere. Hazar Adıyaman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Güner Avcıoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee gave Hatayspor a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Güvenç Revis, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Lapseki's Gökhun Dafi. 1-1. Güner Avcıoğlu came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Lapseki's Hazar Adıyaman. But to his dismay, Hazar Adıyaman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Emirhan Elhan kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Abdurrezzak Şafak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Hakkı Onur Pektay got free with Gökhun Dafi in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th minute Emirhan Elhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gökhun Dafi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hatayspor's Zülfü Arkan got a free kick in the 60th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Hazar Adıyaman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lapseki's supporters rose to their feet, but Hazar Adıyaman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Güner Avcıoğlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Lapseki booed when Hatayspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emirşah Mustafa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hatayspor's zone, Abdurrezzak Şafak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Güner Avcıoğlu came out of the goal and Abdurrezzak Şafak tried to chip the ball over his head. Mustafa Namık Adıgün kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Abdurrezzak Şafak in the 78th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 79 played minutes Lapseki got a freekick which was hit by Ozan Sabi. When the match had been going on for 82 minutes, Hatayspor's Güvenç Revis got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gökhun Dafi. Abdurrezzak Şafak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Güner Avcıoğlu having to interfere. Hatayspor's Güner Avcıoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hazar Adıyaman in the 91st minute of play. Abdurrezzak Şafak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Güner Avcıoğlu having to interfere. Gökhun Dafi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emirhan Elhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Ozan Sabi's late challenge caught a Hatayspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ozan Sabi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 100th match minute, Lapseki was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ozan Sabi to maneuver through the defense. Hatayspor succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Lapseki had controlled the match.
