In the 5th match minute, Güneysinir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alphan Acabey to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Avanos's Alphan Demirdelen threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Melih Cevdet Candaner, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Abdulbaki Dalga's late challenge caught a Avanos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abdulbaki Dalga helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Avanos booed when Güneysinir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdulbaki Dalga didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Aykan Gümüşcüoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 15 minutes of play, Güneysinir's Ali Güralp Sancaktar made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ergincan Zirve was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Güneysinir's zone, Melih Cevdet Candaner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alphan Demirdelen came out of the goal and Melih Cevdet Candaner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ergincan Zirve took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Şahin Uğuray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Aykan Gümüşcüoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Avanos's zone, Şahin Uğuray stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ergincan Zirve came out of the goal and Şahin Uğuray tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Güralp Sancaktar in the 31st minute of play forced Avanos's goalkeeper Ergincan Zirve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ergincan Zirve made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şahin Uğuray in the 36th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Avanos's Melih Cevdet Candaner sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alphan Demirdelen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Güneysinir's Alphan Demirdelen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Güneysinir from getting a goal against them. Ali Güralp Sancaktar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Ergincan Zirve tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Avanos players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Güneysinir were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Melih Cevdet Candaner was the one to do the kick off. Vecdi Sargınal struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Alphan Demirdelen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Avanos. Ali Güralp Sancaktar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Ergincan Zirve tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tunç Onsoy during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Güneysinir getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Tunç Onsoy hit a great ball. After 72 minutes, Asrın Sanbay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Avanos and the Güneysinir players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Avanos! Eren Öztarhan placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Avanos's Ergincan Zirve played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Güralp Sancaktar in the 86th minute of play. Ergincan Zirve didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ali Güralp Sancaktar went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 100 minutes into the match, Avanos's Aykan Gümüşcüoğlu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alphan Demirdelen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Güneysinir supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Güneysinir would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
