Ersan Adıvar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melih Direnç read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, ATLIHAN SK's goalkeeper İbrahim Ethem Baybars had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Orhun Zafer. After 12 minutes, Orhun Zafer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kemaliye and the ATLIHAN SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Orhun Zafer kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Melih Direnç took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ersan Adıvar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Melih Direnç showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ersan Adıvar in the 17th minute of the match. Kamber İribaş hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Melih Direnç stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ersan Adıvar's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 20thth minute of the game Ersan Adıvar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kemaliye's Melih Direnç was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 23rd match minute, ATLIHAN SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dursun Oğuzkan to maneuver through the defense. Dursun Oğuzkan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ersan Adıvar in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melih Direnç saved Kemaliye from getting behind. When Ulu Bedel came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the ATLIHAN SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulu Bedel couldn't finish the play. Orhun Zafer kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Kemaliye's zone, Ulu Bedel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melih Direnç came out of the goal and Ulu Bedel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Yiğit Suersan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kemaliye's supporters rose to their feet, but Yiğit Suersan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. İbrahim Ethem Baybars breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ersan Adıvar made a kick off. If Orhun Zafer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of ATLIHAN SK booed when Kemaliye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gökay Derman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Ersan Adıvar managed to get in a good position for a shot. ATLIHAN SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ersan Adıvar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melih Direnç breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 72 minutes, Kamber İribaş mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kemaliye and the ATLIHAN SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ersan Adıvar in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Melih Direnç prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
