Şahinciler FK's Ralf Jernberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Şahinciler FK from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes into the match, Şahinciler FK's goal looked a bit too open when Sedat Tansoy came free, but Ralf Jernberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hilmi Uçkun might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ralf Jernberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hilmi Uçkun ran back to his position shaking his head. Gürkan İlkut showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zülfü Yiğitkan in the 29th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Sedat Tansoy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ralf Jernberg was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Şahinciler FK's zone, Hilmi Uçkun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ralf Jernberg came out of the goal and Hilmi Uçkun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gökhan Cilasun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gürkan İlkut read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Gökhan Cilasun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gürkan İlkut having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sedat Tansoy to strike the kick off in the second half. Şahinciler FK's Gökhan Cilasun was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 52nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 57th match minute, Şahinciler FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gencay Hirfet to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute, Hilmi Uçkun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of Şahinciler FK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Okmeydani JK:s goal. In the 62nd minute there was a penalty for Okmeydani JK. Selahaddin Özilter stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ralf Jernberg. 2-1. 67 minutes into the match, Okmeydani JK's goal looked a bit too open when Zülfü Yiğitkan came free, but Gürkan İlkut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hilmi Uçkun in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ralf Jernberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gencay Hirfet kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Hilmi Uçkun struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Ralf Jernberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Okmeydani JK. 81 minutes into the match, Şahinciler FK's goal looked a bit too open when Sedat Tansoy came free, but Ralf Jernberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ralf Jernberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sedat Tansoy in the 89th minute of play. When Hilmi Uçkun fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Okmeydani JK's protests and gave Hilmi Uçkun a yellow card for diving instead. After 90 played minutes Okmeydani JK got a freekick which was hit by Hilmi Uçkun. During the 97th minute of the match Şenol Tuğrul completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Şenol Tuğrul a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
