İsa Ortunc was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 22ndth minute of the game Bilgehan Tokyürek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MERSİN İDMANYURDU's İsa Ortunc was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Battal Seyyit Çakıroğlu during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, MERSİN İDMANYURDU's Battal Seyyit Çakıroğlu got a free kick in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerrit Buhrmann in the 27th minute of play forced MERSİN İDMANYURDU's goalkeeper İsa Ortunc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Evren Ezrak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ali Nabi Sazak to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Rüknettin Orcun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. İsa Ortunc was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. When Güzelyali's Gerrit Buhrmann in 57 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. İsa Ortunc guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerrit Buhrmann in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg İsa Ortunc saved MERSİN İDMANYURDU from getting behind. İsa Ortunc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rüknettin Orcun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Behçet Kiram charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Behçet Kiram the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th minute, Behçet Kiram hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. İsa Ortunc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerrit Buhrmann in the 68th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Gerrit Buhrmann sped through MERSİN İDMANYURDU's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of İsa Ortunc. 75 minutes into the game, Gerrit Buhrmann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. İsa Ortunc was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 78th minute, Rüknettin Orcun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. İsa Ortunc was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Gerrit Buhrmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Güzelyali's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerrit Buhrmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. İsa Ortunc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Battal Seyyit Çakıroğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Güzelyali's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rüknettin Orcun in the 85th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerrit Buhrmann in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck İsa Ortunc prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Rüknettin Orcun came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Güzelyali fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rüknettin Orcun couldn't finish the play.
