In the 8th minute, Ahmet Kağan Şahoğlu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TEKİRDAĞSPOR fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Yakup Kadri Vahap made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oğuz Korcan in the 13th minute of play. After 14th play minutes Kadri Şen shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Yakup Kadri Vahap and just under the crossbar into goal. When Kadri Şen fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Edirnekapi JK's protests and gave Kadri Şen a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Edirnekapi JK getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Kadri Şen hit a great ball. In the 20th minute, Oktay Şemseddin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 21st match minute, TEKİRDAĞSPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Göksel Tanbay to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Kadri Şen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yakup Kadri Vahap was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Edirnekapi JK's Basilio Charro got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute Ahmet Kağan Şahoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Okaner Zeyni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yakup Kadri Vahap made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kadri Şen in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Edirnekapi JK's zone, Cüneyd Olcay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Okaner Zeyni came out of the goal and Cüneyd Olcay tried to chip the ball over his head. After a rather tough play, Edirnekapi JK's Kadri Şen got a free kick in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ahmet Kağan Şahoğlu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ahmet Kağan Şahoğlu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Okaner Zeyni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. A collision led to TEKİRDAĞSPOR getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Yetkin Güneş hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Kağan Şahoğlu in the 60th minute of play forced Edirnekapi JK's goalkeeper Okaner Zeyni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yakup Kadri Vahap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basilio Charro in the 87th minute of the match. In the 89th match minute, TEKİRDAĞSPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atıf Vafi to maneuver through the defense. Oktay Şemseddin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Okaner Zeyni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Edirnekapi JK players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
