Nuratay Zühtü made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kutlay Cansefa in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Dilmen Pamiroğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Kilis defense, Atilla Urkan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Çağatay Akçam. The Kilis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Çağatay Akçam should have stopped the shot. After 14 minutes of play ŞANLIURFA's Dilmen Pamiroğlu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Kilis booed when ŞANLIURFA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dilmen Pamiroğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Çağatay Akçam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilla Urkan, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Çağatay Akçam didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hakkı Şahinoğlu went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Çağatay Akçam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hakkı Şahinoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 32 minutes into the match, ŞANLIURFA's Hakkı Şahinoğlu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Çağatay Akçam narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Çağatay Akçam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hakkı Şahinoğlu in the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hakkı Şahinoğlu in the 38th minute of play forced Kilis's goalkeeper Çağatay Akçam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ŞANLIURFA's Hakkı Şahinoğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 41 minutes of play, ŞANLIURFA's Hakkı Şahinoğlu made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Çağatay Akçam was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Hakkı Şahinoğlu came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the ŞANLIURFA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hakkı Şahinoğlu couldn't finish the play. Atilla Urkan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Çağatay Akçam having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kutlay Cansefa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hakkı Şahinoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th minute, Aytuğ Yerel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the ŞANLIURFA defense, Celil Üke kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nuratay Zühtü. The ŞANLIURFA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nuratay Zühtü should have stopped the shot. A collision led to ŞANLIURFA getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Savaşer Talik hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute, Celil Üke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 83rd minute Aytuğ Yerel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuratay Zühtü saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hakkı Şahinoğlu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Çağatay Akçam firmly grabbed it by the left post. Aytuğ Yerel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuratay Zühtü having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Hakkı Şahinoğlu made a precise shot to the right of Çağatay Akçam. Kilis's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. The Kilis supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching ŞANLIURFA's performance. The match ended with a win for ŞANLIURFA.
